RHODA GREENUP SCHOLARSHIP
The Snowmobile North Dakota – Rhoda Greenup Scholarship is a scholarship fund established in appreciation of the many years Rhoda Greenup faithfully published SNO-DAK NEWS for Snowmobile North Dakota. The funds used to initially start the Scholarship were profits transferred to Snowmobile North Dakota from the many years of a successful snowmobile newspaper. The purpose of the Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a college student who meets the criteria.

SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING
Funding for the Scholarship is monies that were transferred from SNO-DAK NEWS when Mrs. Rhoda Greenup retired from publishing SNO-DAK NEWS. Other contributions to the Scholarship Fund are accepted. Only the interest from the Scholarship Fund will be expended. At no time will the principal monies be spent.

SCHOLARSHIP MANAGEMENT
The Snowmobile North Dakota Board of Directors will be charged with managing and expending monies from the fund.

SNOWMOBILE NORTH DAKOTA SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA

  1. High School seniors or college students going to a college of their choice are eligible. A person can only receive the scholarship once.
  2. Applicant must have taken the North Dakota Snowmobile Safety Course and whose parents have been members of Snowmobile North Dakota from that time up to the date of application for the scholarship.
  3. Entries will not be judges by financial need.
  4. The scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college of the student’s choice.
  5. Application must be received by April 1st each year. Mail application to: Snowmobile North Dakota – 1600 E Century Ave, Suite 3 – Bismarck, ND 58503.
  6. Write an essay in 500 words or less on the subject “How would you generate excitement for snowmobiling in North Dakota.”
  7. The Snowmobile North Dakota Scholarship Committee will choose the successful applicant.
